Oremus Mandolas Dry Furmint

Furmint is Hungary's most important white grape variety, more well known for  the famous sweet wines of Tokaj.

Mandolás is a dry wine with complex flavours of pear, citrus and white peach.  There is some sublte spice and toasted nut characters from the barrel ageing but it is not overtly oaky, with a line of fresh acidity keeping the oak flavours in check. 

This medium bodied wine is a very interesting and unusual alternative to either Chenin Blanc or Chardonnay.  Give it a try!
