What's in our Glasses?
Wines we are enjoying right now
Domaine du Seminaire 'Les saffres'
This is exactly the sort of wine I find myself reaching for at this time of year. The Syrah brings structure, spice and savoury depth, while the Grenache keeps everything bright, and juicy and easy to drink. It's also incredibly versatile with food. Ian loves it with a plate of sausages and mash (typical Brit!), while at the wine bar it pairs beautifully with our Beef Bourguignon. Any slow cooked casserole, crock pot dinner or hearty winter meal will easily sit well with a glass of this. Better still, it represents the incredible value of the Rhône, with many of our favourite bottles sitting in the $30-$45 range.
