Domaine du Seminaire 'Les saffres'

From a fourth-generation family, Domaine du Séminaire farms organically on the clay limestone and sandy "saffres" soils that give this wine its name.

This is a classic Southern Rhône blend of Grenache and Syrah with ripe blackberry, currant and plums with the signature flavours of black pepper and baking spice alongside.  There is also a pleasant wild herb note running through the wine.  It has a long fruit driven finish with velvety, smooth tannins.  

As with most Cote du Rhône reds, this is easy to drink and easy to pair.  It works well in the colder months with casseroles, hearty crock pot meals and steaks.
