Giles Robin 'Papillon' Crozes Hermitage

From a fifth-generation family estate in the Northern Rhône, Gilles Robin's Papillon is made from 100% Syrah and is a fresh, approachable take on Crozes-Hermitage. Farmed organically since 2012, the fruit comes from the Les Châssis area, where stony clay soils help produce wines with purity, balance and character.

Bright aromas of plum, blackberry and red berry fruit lead into a palate that is smooth and luscious. Fine tannins and a gentle hint of pepper add structure and interest with a long, supple finish.  A great introduction to Northern Rhône Syrah - there is a lot of power here but a very refined wine.
