Eaton Grüner Veltliner 2021

Father and son duo making beautifully and carefully crafted wine out of Marlborough.  Working with small parcels of grapes which are all hand-tended, the wines are made with minimal interventions.  The fruit for their Grüner Veltliner is sourced from the Appleby vineyard in Nelson (unlike all their other wines which are from Marlborough fruit).  Sadly this will be the last vintage as the vineyard is getting pulled up and replanted with Sauvignon Blanc.  

Aromas of spiced apple pie and gooseberry with soft lemon zest and fresh acidity. 

This is an ideal aperitif wine with a rich and textural finish that will easily sit on its own or be paired with food.  Try herb driven dishes, sushi, schnitzel with creamy sauce or salads and asparagus.
