Easthope 'Home Block' Syrah, Hawke's Bay 2025

Grown, made and bottled entirely by the Easthope family on their Home Block above the Ngaruroro River in Hawke's Bay. Everything here is done by hand, from pruning to picking to pressing, in a style they call Ergodynamic. It's simply a reflection of what one family can physically manage on their own.

The 2025 is punchy and aromatic, with ripe plum, cranberry and plenty of spice, plus a pretty floral lift of rose petal and dried herbs. It's only lightly oaked so the fruit and spice do the talking, with a savoury, intense finish rather than anything jammy or sweet.
