E Guigal Gigondas

Gigondas is one of the Southern Rhône's great villages, producing wines with a little more structure and depth than a typical Côtes du Rhône. 

The E.Guigal Gigondas is a real easy drinking, rich and expressive wine.  Lots of ripe black cherry, plums and blackberry with rustic dried herbs and spices.  It has both lush dark fruit but also a complex savoury note.  The tannins are present but supple.  A understated but powerful wine. 

Choose this if you want a step up from the usual Côtes du Rhône. 

Pair with a beef bourguignon, slow cooked lamb or hearty winter dishes.

Variety: 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre
