Contreras Ruiz Vallehondo Syrah 2022

Contreras Ruiz Vallehondo Syrah offers a fresh and distinctive take on this classic variety. Grown on chalky soils in Spain's Huelva region, the grapes are influenced by the nearby Atlantic.  The resulting wine is elegant and surprisingly fresh given the region is more commonly associated with Sherry production. 

Bright aromas of blackberry, black cherry and violets lead into a palate of dark berries, spice and savoury earthiness. Medium bodied and nicely balanced, this Syrah has elegance and freshness with tannins that are fine and polished.

A vibrant and food-friendly Syrah that shows a different side of Spanish winemaking.
