Château Picard Saint-Estèphe

Saint-Estèphe is known for producing some of Bordeaux's most structured and age-worthy wines, and Château Picard is a classic example of the style. Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this is a wine that balances power with elegance, and offers plenty of character without being overly heavy.

Layers of blackcurrant, dark plum and black cherry are complemented by notes of cedar, tobacco and cassis. 

The palate is firm with fine tannins and a savoury nuances that add complexity.   

A traditional Left Bank Bordeaux.  It would work well now with roast lamb, beef or heaty Winter meat dishes.  It would also reward some time in cellar.
